Description

Functionally, an acid initiates chemical reactions that alter the structure or composition of other substances. This process can dissolve, weaken or transform materials depending on concentration and context. The acid interacts through reactive exchange, transferring ions that drive the reaction forward. Its functional role is to modify the environment at a molecular level. This behavior enables processes such as digestion, cleaning or industrial treatment. Through these interactions, acid becomes a catalyst for structural change.
